So far Acts I-III are really interesting with the conflict and all. It is awesome that Shakespeare does get to the conflict right away unlike books. I thought that Lord Capulet is an interesting character simply for the thing that he does toward the end of Act III, when he told Paris that Juliet would marry him on Thursday, because he had said that they would wait until Juliet was older. The funny part about that is that Juliet is already married.
Hmmm...I wonder what is gonna happen because of that?
Other things that I have noticed, Friar Lawrence, what a character he is.
He is interesting because he is going to try to bring peace to the conflict between both families when the conflict already is pretty big, the Tybalt death and all.
I have noticed a theme which is the individual versus society. This is shown very simple, by the way in which Romeo and Juliet can't be together because of the conflict between both families.
"Patience perforce with willful choler meeting makes my lesh tremble in their differnt greeting. I will witduew, but this intrusion shall, now seeming sweet, convert to bitt'rest gall."
-Act I sc. 5
(100-103)
As soon as i read this i knew that Tybalt would attempt to do something in the future, and he did, but it cost him his life.
A lot of things occured in these Acts that were very interesting and it is just about to get even more interesting.
